Here's a summary of the stuff that's been going on in the NJZ world.

Originally I was not going to report on this rumor going around because I thought it was just speculation like the first time this rumor popped up, but upon reading the articles for these rumors it turns out this word spread around because of stuff said by NJZ own lawyers and the judges in court so I though it must be somewhat credible? And the parents posted a response to this so I thought guess it's time for an update :Headingout:

Haerin Parents Rumor

Long story short, there were rumors that one of the parents of NJZ were against NJZ leaving Ador/Hybe and suing. It was reported that it must be one of the members who are minor's parents because apparently the parents of said minor member had to go to family court to fight over this. One parent was against it them leaving, one member was for them leaving, and since both parents need to be in agreement over the child's decisions they had to turn to family court and the judges had to decide which parent could gain sole decision making rights for the child. Legally both parents need to be in agreement or else the child cannot participate in the main court case which is why the parents had to go to court for custody rights.

Part of this was revealed through the April 3rd court case by something the judge said:
At the first hearing for the 'Confirmation of Validity of Exclusive Contract' held at the 41st Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court on the 3rd, the presiding judge asked the defendant New Jeans, "It's about defendant 4," and "Is this a statement that you have ratified all the litigation activities up to now because the family court has made a decision on exercising parental rights?"

This was something reportedly said by a court official during the previous injunction hearing:
"We need to sort out the issue of representation. First, there is a flaw in the current representation rights for the lawsuit."

And this was a statement released about that by NJZ's lawyers at the time:
"There was a hearing date (family court) yesterday, and a conclusion will be reached at least next week. We think there will be no particular problems if we submit it once the conclusion is reached.”

It was then later confirmed in the April 3rd court case that between the time of the injunction hearing and the April 3rd court case that the family court case has concluded:
The decision to exercise parental authority has been made, and the lawsuit has been ratified so far

It was speculated by fans that the member whose parents were fighting in family court was Haerin due to the fact that according to court documents all the members have both of their parents on the paperwork except for Haerin who only has her father listed (and not her mother).

I would like to take a minute to shout out that the article sources state that since the member must be a minor it must be either Haerin or Hyein, though none of the article's I have been seeing have confirmed or stated which NJZ member and parents are involved. They just say something like "Child A Parent B Parent C". The assumption that it was Haerin's parents came from twitter speculations.

I would also like to shout out that some people are spreading online that the parents were fighting for custody of the child/member but we have no proof of this. The only thing we seem to have confirmation of based on the court is that the parents were fighting over who can have sole decision making rights over the child since they didn't agree.

NJZ Parents Response

They are denying there was any discourse among the parents.

NJZ parents have already posted a response on their official instagram about this.
Hello. We are the parents of the members.
The reports from some media outlets claiming that there is a division among the members’ parents are completely untrue. We are making this statement to correct any misunderstandings.
All five members have a firm stance that they cannot return to HYBE, and this decision was made after thorough discussions with their respective families. From the beginning, the members promised that they would not proceed with any legal action unless all five of them agreed. This demonstrates their deep trust and unity.
Even now, the members remain steadfast in their decision, and we, as their parents, fully respect and unwaveringly support their choices. Despite the difficult circumstances, the five members frequently meet and maintain their strong friendship. Likewise, we parents have also strengthened our bond through regular communication during these challenging times.
It is deeply disappointing and frustrating to see baseless rumors about family discord or a member leaving being published in the media. It almost feels as if someone is deliberately trying to create division. At first, we felt these rumors were not worth responding to. However, since specific members’ names have now been mentioned, we have decided to make our position clear.
The rumors regarding member Haerin are entirely false. Haerin and her parents are completely aligned in their stance, and any speculation about their family matters is also untrue. Due to these unfounded and one-sided speculations, the member and her family are experiencing extreme emotional distress.
The process of adjusting parental authority out of respect for a minor’s wishes was a matter concerning a different member. In that case, both the child and the mother were firm in their decision, so we kindly ask that you refrain from making assumptions about their family affairs as well.
We want to make it absolutely clear that all families are fully respecting and supporting their children.
According to Article 10 of the Family Litigation Act, "Any facts or photographs related to a case being handled or processed by the family court that could lead to the identification of an individual based on their name, age, occupation, or appearance shall not be published in newspapers, magazines, or other publications, nor shall they be broadcast." Furthermore, Article 72 specifies criminal penalties for violating reporting restrictions.

This is just my side opinion:

Unless the parent who is against their child leaving isn't included in the NJZ parents instagram account, I am honestly not buying the parent's response that there was no discourse. We have both their own lawyers and the court judge confirming there was a situation that had to be settled in family court so something definitely happened, though I also don't think it's really any of our business to know the specific details of what happened. This involves a minor and their parents and I think this should stay in the family court and as the family's business, not ours.

I'm also kind of confused about their 'baseless rumors" accusation because I don't think these are that baseless? If there was no source or statement from anyone and this was trending then this would be a baseless rumors (I honestly wasn't even going to report on this if there was no source) but there's statements from their courts and NJZ's own lawyers talking about how there was a family court issue so IMO at least it's not quite baseless the speculation? I do once again though think we're not entitled to know any of the details.

I would also like to shout out that fans are currently mad at the NJZ parents for denying it's Haerin because by denying it's her, they've pretty much confirmed its Hyein's parents who are having the issues.

NJZ Name Removed

The final update I have for today is that the NJZ instagram account has been whipped clean and the instagram handle changed to mhdhh_friends and mhdhh_pr

For now at least it appears that they have stopped going by NJZ.

(I will still be calling them NJZ though unless they ask us to stop.)

That's all I have for now.

Once again I originally wasn't going to report on this, but when I woke up this morning and saw the parents responding to this I thought might as well make an update?

It's not the first time I've heard that all 5 families weren't that united. It's hard to believe either side with all those media play. Maybe at the beginning they were all together but with time things can change.

If it's confirmed at least one family can implode because of this conflict, so either Haerin or Hyein's. Since the news is very recent we'll have to wait to be sure.

NJ, NJZ, doesn't really matter for me as long as we understand it's the group.

The articles and media play are becoming increasingly repetitive and boring. The minor members. Something about mhj. What member x said/did/wore/went to.
The company needs new material. They should wait instead of trying to force it.

If this makes sense, I feel like all of this is not 100% just Hybe media play.

I’m not saying Hybe isn’t doing media play, but I feel like netizens have also become pretty nosy and hateful lately and that’s been contributing to a lot of this stuff too. (Like, I know a lot of fake rumors from this particular topic stemmed from internet speculation, not quite articles if that makes sense?)

Like, Hybe’s media play is terrible, but I also think Knetz turning on NJZ lately isn’t helpful either?

The $25m hybe spent on TAG the agency Depp used to attack Heard seems entirely wasted. The same methods are not effective in the kpop niche market.

This is kind of funny and kind of sad. But very believable.
