On June 9, actress Haru appeared on Fuji TV's 'Totsuzen desu ga Uranatte mo ii desu ka?' where she revealed that being bullied as a child was one of the reasons she entered the entertainment industry.

During the program, actor Sawamura Ikki, who says he co-starred with Haru when she was a teenager, talked about how the actress is a really hard worker. "I don't think I have the aptitude to be an actress or appear on TV. I just study and practice a lot so I don't make mistakes," she said.

Haru then revealed, "I was bullied for the first time in fourth or third grade. There was a period when we had a lot of exchange students that year. I was bullied by those exchange students." Apparently, the actress was bullied for her height. "I didn't know how to respond when they would tell me, 'You have nice style!' So they kept calling me a narcissist. Even though I didn't really think anything about it," she explained.

It was then that Haru bought an audition information magazine. "I hated going to school. I wanted any reason to not go to school. I didn't care what it was as long as I didn't have to go to school. Since I couldn't work," she said. As such, she decided to audition and signed with her agency when she was in her first year of middle school.

Since entering the industry, Haru has continued to work hard to get to where she's at. However, she confessed that it wasn't her own will that she became an actress, "I don't think it was my own will at first. I would go and audition where my agency told me to. I thought that was the norm
