ANNOUNCEMENT Awards Update - New members & Awards Section

Hello H+! We have very important news with our Awards Team: from additions, farewells, and a big update involving voting threads.


First, let’s meet the new recruits!

Not long ago we held recruitment seeking new additions to the team. After looking through great and enthusiastic applications, we finally have our new and eager recruits:

Please help us welcome and wish them the best of luck in their new positions!


With our new recruits, we do have to say farewell to several members of the team: NCT, Ahn, Moondust, and our lead usshi. We’re sad to see you all go, but we thank you all for your work on the team and wish you all the best with your future endeavours!


With the leaving of usshi, we will be introducing two new leads to help run the Awards Team! Please help us welcome @Rinoa and @Lucia. Both moderators (well one is an admin too) and members of the Social Media team, already has quite a lot of experience with Awards with running various voting threads and creating many mocks for different groups. We know both will do a marvellous job in leading the H+ Awards Team to be spectacular!


OTHER CHANGES

Now with the new changes, we would also like to address a temporary halt in voting threads. The Awards section will be closed and the team will be going through one-by-one into voting threads to determine which follow guidelines as at the moment, many voting threads include badges that aren’t following that. This process will take approximately a week and once the section is reopened, every OP will have to pre-approve their mocks with us before they can begin any voting. If your thread is already going through voting and the winning badges have not been approved, they will need to be redone. We apologise for the inconvenience, but we only want the best for our users and this will help with providing the best award options for you to choose from.

Yes, there will be more time while we go through the current suggestions. Ideally, we don't want to disqualify any if we can, we will assist in tweaking badges first to help them meet guidelines before considering disqualifying any.

That's actually a pretty good idea to close the section for a while. Gives peoples more time to gather mocks/pictures for better badges.

For now, all voting is halted, so that will include new threads for the time being. In a week we will accept them. We need to go through current suggestions first to get back on track.
