NuguHello there, i'm usually pleased at seeing how Korean Entertainment section being way more active and more frequent posted being made it there. But besides that, i happened to noticed on how Japanese and Chinese Entertainment section isn't that active at all, why it isn't getting more active and more threads are being posted there?
BlessMeAchoo
Excuse My CharismaThere are just more Kpop fans around I guess.
hotsushi-kun
NuguYes, i do believe that K-Pop has large fanbases and more international fans, but there also portion international fans of J-Pop and C-Pop too as well. There are just more Kpop fans around I guess.

Dunno anything about C-Entertainment that much. Maybe most people who are into this will only go to specialize places just for this. Although Chinese movies and actors have been staples for decades, the new more pop stuff seems relatively new in terms of marketing and need to catch up with both Kpop and Jpop outside Asia. It's not much demand out there and Chinese speakers will be probably isolated in their Chinese forums (thanks Great Wall for that). Maybe there is an audience from HK and Taiwan, but the appeal and incentives isn't here for their c-pop needs I'm afraid.
There is more overlapping with Kpop and Jpop, but people who are just fans of Jpop may not wanna go to a main Kpop forum for their needs and usually we need specialized fans for their specialized insight and content for these sections of the forum to grow. Kinda mimicking the wary relationship between Korea and Japan, exclusive Kpop and Jpop fans seem wary of each other, so only fans who are open for both entertainment styles may come to a main Kpop forum for their Jpop needs.
The name Hallyu is a little on the nose for non-Korean stuff fans as well. Not saying that it should be named General Asian Entertainment or something, but it's not welcoming for niche fans. They just go to their niche sites and failing that, reddit I guess.

There are more kpop fans here. I actually prefer jpop, but I don‘t talk about it much here, because I prefer to talk to jpop fans on twitter.

NuguUhhh that's fine, i know Mainland China has been trying to break through from its censorship by adding some MV into the YT like SNH48, and 7Senes, both of whom are from Mainland China. Artists and groups from Hong Kong and Taiwan have a small fanbase from around the world, and while they do upload MVs, they only add Chinese subtitles, making it really difficult to find their MV unless you study Chinese language.Dunno anything about C-Entertainment that much. I know Japanese Entertainment section on OneHallyu was much more active and more active than Chinese Entertainment, as it still had a lot of J-Pop fans (both Veteran and newcomers) who wanted to find their interests and appetite about their love of J-Cultures, i know J-Pop doesn't have its own forums, the only forum that focuses on J-pop are Stage48, that's the only thing i know. The term hallyu is indeed for Korean stuff and Korean entertainment, but this site for Asian entertainment, and Korean lovers also welcomes these Japanese into this forum as well.
AllKpop also does have its own J-Pop and C-pop entertainment, J-Pop section in AllKpop is known as TokyoHive and C-Pop section is known as Chinatown, that's the only thing i know. I still know that AllKPop forum is still active, but it doesn't have a lot of users there since a lot of users are more preferred OneHallyu over AllKPop, but sadly OneHallyu got closed down temporarily.
Apart from that, this site still need to be more focuses on Asian entertainment though.

NuguThat's fine, but OneHallyu is the only site that had plenty of stuff to talk on Japanese entertainment, i still miss on how it got shut down for apparent no reasons. There are more kpop fans here. OneHallyu didn‘t really shut down, but there are currently moving servers.

I'm aware of that. I like the work Hallyu, but it does have a heavy Kpop leaning for the layman. Like I said, people who are just Jpop stuff may just look at the name and ignore the big for all things Asian Entertainment and not even try to check the Jpop section. I'm not insinuating/recommending a name change. Far from that. It's just sadly that some people may take this way. Who knows actually. It's hard to gauge how non-Kpop fans take the name without hard data.
Also, another thing that may be less welcoming for these Jpop fans is they usually need more tools for them. Like more specialized boards and so on. I know there is no demand to justify more partitions. It's silly. It would just make things messier, but there are so much more specialized stuff in Jpop than compared with Kpop. You kinda can bunch all Kpop in one thing and still be fine, but I think Jpop is more varied and an exclusive Jpop forum just serve these fans better. So the only market for hallyu is the overlapping Kpop and Jpop fans or casual Jpop fans which may not go that far for forum experience. The ones that make content probably will just flow to Jpop forums only and we need these to really turn the Jpop section into overdrive like Kpop. Some of these Jpop fans may not even wanna have content from other entertainment places there as well.
i'm talking more about general things. OH had more active Jpop content before its offline apocalypse. I think hallyu+ could bring these people here overtime hopefully.
hotsushi-kun
NuguYes, Hallyu+ is still somewhat new forum site, i am hoping those who came from OneHallyu may migrate here as well. If there was only one forum that had only J-Pop stuff that would have been great, but its now of a thing of a past.I'm aware of that. We are a few people in the J-section who post regularly. And there are a lot of new releases posted (mostly thanks to davidguy). All things considered I think it's in a decent state considering it's a new forum and it's mostly going to be KPOP fans coming here. Hopefully more people join, but there are less people who follow Japanese entertainment so it's not as easy.
For the C-section (what a name) at least the SHE fans have been much more active so far than they ever were on OH, which is a pleasant surprise.
