[Billboard Japan] Official HIGE DANdism Logs Third Week at No. 1 on Japan Hot 100 (12/9 - 12/15)

Official HIGE DANdism's "Pretender" nabs a third week atop the Billboard Japan Hot 100, dated Dec. 9 to 15, returning to lead the tally by dominating three metrics of the chart's methodology: streaming, video views and karaoke.

The four-man band's long-running hit outperformed the new single by the Nagoya-based boy band MAG!C☆PRINCE, "Try Again," which sold 77,003 copies in its first week.




While the actual figures for downloads, streaming and video views for "Pretender" have decreased slightly from the week before, the song continues to maintain levels that leave the competition far behind. HIGE DAN also still have seven songs charting in the Japan Hot 100, and with appearances in the year-end music specials coming up until the end of this month, the band will most likely continue to enjoy their moment for a while.




LiSA's "Gurenge" returned to the top 10 last week, and continues to perform well in physical sales, downloads and streaming, which all increased this week. While the song slips down to No. 7 on the Japan Hot 100 due to new singles by other acts breaking into the top 10, total points for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba opener have actually increased.




Meanwhile, the anime singer's new single, "unlasting," soars 97-6 this week, and it looks like these two songs are introducing her catalog to new fans, who are accelerating downloads for her other songs including "Howl," "Chill-Chill-Dal-Da" and "KALEIDO."

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups, audio streams from Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOX, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, RecMusic provided by Gfk Japan, dHits, Uta Pass and Spotify, plus karaoke data from Daiichikosho and XING.
