Blender update!

Okay! So, as many of you know, I have been on my Blender journey!

This time, we are looking at H+ academy!

This time, a lot of time was spent on depth, and lighting! I know it might look easy but getting the lighting right in an artificial setting is so, so, so hard.

Consider this progression:

This was the initial render with a simple sun object.

This was with the sun and other lights tweaked to make it look more dramatic:

And this was one of the posing sets after setting everything up for the photo. In fact, this is the background for the superlatives (or one of the exports for it.)

You might notice the blurry background, and it is because I finally got depth-field to work! Depth-field assists in making a foreground and background by blurring anything beyond the scope of the object you want to focus on. I've used it before, or really I became familiar when I first got into 3D art, but this is the first time I really had to work with the settings.

Here are some progressions for lighting in the backgrounds used for superlatives:

This one was difficult because I couldn't rely on the sun,

This one was such a subtle change but I feel like it was so worth the process.

This pair I was satisfied with but I felt like being a little later in the afternoon would make it look more romantic,

As for this scene, you can REALLY see that the trees aren't that great but, as you guys know, I don't have much experience.

And Bobo's room!

Now, for the actual school!

As for the more technical parameters!
I rendered in cycles but with a very low sampling value (though higher than usual.) I knew I was going to make them a bit blurred so I thought it would be best to just keep it simple.

Looks cute! I despised middle school (not so much hs), but if this was my school, you'd see me with a perfect attendance rate.

but rah, honestly.. i wish my school was this pretty !!! how do i transfer to h+ academy!!
i love how lighting made so much difference in the shots too
