Today was BTS Festa 2024 and it overall seemed to go without a hitch, except for the main event that everyone was fighting to win a spot for.
I previously mentioned in my post about the BTS Festa 2024 Backlash that 1,000 could win a raffle to give Jin a hug at this year's festa. This hug event was something personally requested by Jin since he missed the fans so much after being away in the military.
HYBE promised that they would provide proper security to make sure nothing bad would happen but Hybe failed to keep this promise.
At the actual event only 2 security people were given to Jin to protect him, a woman who helped guide people to jin during the line, and a guy who was standing a bit behind him to usher people off the stage.
During the event a female fan assaulted Jin by trying to kiss him on stage, he looks very visibly distressed by the incident and as you can tell by the video the security woman in front of Jin didn't even notice at first and did not seem to try to help pry her off of him, and the security guard behind him literally stands there and does nothing.

Fan's are understandably very angry online and are petitioning to try to get this fan blacklisted.
As of right now neither Hybe nor Jin has issued an official statement about this incident.

🦋 Karma Butterfly 🦋I sympathize with the discomfort on his part.

I hate to say it but I remember hearing he was going to do this and had a feeling something like this would happen. I applaud him for feeling comfortable enough with his fans to do something like this but at the end of the day I don't expect kpop fans who enter these sorts of raffles to be well adjusted enough to keep things within sane boundaries.

Ngl I was fully expecting something like this too, especially since the more money you dropped the higher chance you had of winning the raffle and usually the people who drop that sort of money are saesangs, but I was hoping Hybe would be true to their word to actually have security.I hate to say it but I remember hearing he was going to do this and had a feeling something like this would happen. There should have been a LOT more security around him! The two "guards" they gave him literally did nothing, I'm grateful nothing worse happened because if someone tried to attack him and violence broke out there truly wouldn't have been anyone there to stop it.

Of all the groups/idols to allow THIS close interaction with a fan, and they gave him a whole TWO "security guards" who look like they wouldn't have cared less if he got snatched off the stage. They're frankly lucky she didn't pull a knife.

OPPA!!!!HYBE staff is useless.
Can't protect talent, can't put out a decent press release and can't write contracts for their lives.
I hope Jin is ok and the "fan" is banned from other in-person events.

Ew. Once again, fans have too much access to idols in general

1 out of 1000, some can say they expected more, it's not bad and thankfully it wasn't worst. The guards were supposed to be there in case this happens but it looks like they weren't paying enough attention and it take only a few seconds.
Maybe have two more guards around him, two seems too little.
I heard the fan got sued
