The manager hit them in the head and joked about it many times. She started crying when she talked about it. They were being yelled at and called "trash" by her company when the group disobeyed an order not to eat lunch at an all day show recording. They had to do push-ups positions with their head.
Can the police investigate Chrome and shut them down for good?

I didn't watch the video yet but I'm expecting it to be sad...
Not surprise, it's seems really common in labels to threat their trainee/idols like this...

You'd have to put every South Korean business ever out of existence then, K-Pop artists have it easy compared to many other people over there - that's part of why they're not as respected as they should be, even though the amount of work they do is insane.

I don't think every single korean company physical abuse people. Maybe the percentage is higher than many democractic countries because of the culture as you pointed out. Anyways, they must change their ways. Korea has the highest suicide numbers in the world and this method of teaching\scolding is just self-destructing.You'd have to put every South Korean business ever out of existence then, K-Pop artists have it easy compared to many other people over there - that's part of why they're not as respected as they should be, even though the amount of work they do is insane.

I feel like I've heard of a lot of other small time companies where the managers hit the idols. It's crazy how someone can have a small amount of authority over other people and choose to physically abuse them. In the US that would be assault and thus a police matter and I think most bosses would avoid that in favor of just giving the employee shitty treatment / badmouthing them

Sadly physical punishment to kids or people under you in the hierarch is still kinda normal in Korea. There are lot of mofos who think this is their right.
School during the 70s and 80s wasn't fun for me there. Even moving to a different country, those old fuckers would still think it's alright.
Also lot of managers act like gangsters and are trigger happy. Korean hierarch culture just sux and let them abuse their power and ironically disguise it as enforcing respect and manner.
It's slowly changing, Koreans should be more vocal about it anywhere, but I think everyone from my gen and older have to die out first for a real change. Way did good by talking about it.
