Trigger warning: This post will be talking about trash.
Despite no one asking, S*ngri has released a statement to the media about his personal life.
S*ngri has been a hot topic lately after being seen hanging out around China for a very very long time.
In the source article I am linking, in Asia he's been a hot topic because he's been seen hanging out in various clubs and restaurants in China with a lot of bodyguards and "pretty women".
I'd say maybe about a week ago? (maybe a little more?) he was trending on the western kpop side of twitter after a random kpop fan randomly saw him in a club and started filming him. I won't link the video here, but in the video he's just standing with a drink at the club and he later notices the person someone is filming him and does an
sign as a way of asking for the person not to film him. The person posted the video online anyway, but it sparked a debate online on whether it was ok for the person to film him. (Some people say it was rude to film him, others said he deserved it since he pretty much did the same thing and worse to all the women in his scandal.)
With him being in China for so long, rumors started that he was planning on doing business there started and an anonymous "industry official" gave this statement:

With him being in China for so long, rumors started that he was planning on doing business there started and an anonymous "industry official" gave this statement:
“S*ngri was staying in Korea until recently, but he boarded a plane to China last month,” and “He hasn’t revealed any specific plans, but he is still very interested in the entertainment business and is exploring various businesses. Of course, he has no plans to be active in Korea. He is aware of the harsh public opinion and has no plans to continue working as he did before. However, he is planning to do the entertainment business that he is best at, and it seems he will make the most of his connections. It’s true that he has cut ties with the members of ‘Big Bang, but he is still on good terms with the people he was close with before. He is naturally talking about business with them, and I understand that he left for China to seek another plan.”
If I recall from reports from kpop fans, I believe S*ngri does have business in other countries? (Like restaurants and stuff in SEA? and I know he's held dj raves and stuff at clubs/parties in SEA as well) So this news didn't seem too surprising/unbelievable to most people.
(I also want to take a minute to shout out that people are rolling their eyes over the fact that S*ngri is claiming he cut out the other Big Bang members and not the other way around
)
S*ngri later on went to the media to give everyone an update on his personal life.
He's claiming:
"It is not true that I am leaving Korea. I am currently living in Korea, and I am only going abroad to spend personal time with acquaintances and attending weddings. I have no business plans at all."
He's also claiming that despite having many acquaintances he has no plans on starting any new businesses and is just traveling to meet friends.
He also started to talk about how hurt (?) over the internet cursing/criticizing him and the new meme of calling him "loser" (Paebae/'패배' ) instead of his actual name.
(For context: His stage name apparently means "winner" in Korean so now everyone has renamed him to "loser").
He then ended by saying:
"I will act more carefully and show a responsible attitude so that no controversy arises in my personal life."

Don't want to be called a loser, don't act like a loser. Do something to make amends before making demands. Do some charity work or something, and for fuck's sake stop clubbing good lord.

Gonna say people need to stop taking pics and vids of him. If he wanted to be left alone he would not be out and being so visible. He wants the attention. All of this is feeding his big ego. Ignore him and he will wither away. We don't want to see him ever again.

Is he fr"I will act more carefully and show a responsible attitude so that no controversy arises in my personal life."
Your Biggest Fan
OPPA!!!!He didn't need to release a statement. All he had to do was stay quiet and disappear from all sight for us to know the rumor wasn't true.
But obviously this "anonymous industry source" is testing public reaction to the idea of him returning.
