Hello, everyone! Today we're kicking off the nomination and pic suggestion for +Cards' 5th Edition.
Our goal is to release the new set around LATE MAY 2025.

This year we're doing things differently. We have two threads: one for discussion and the other for submissions.
THIS THREAD IS FOR DISCUSSION ONLY.

This thread will remain open until April 15th @ 11:59 PM EST, meaning that comebacks, debuts, dramas, movies, animes, and games released after this date will not be included in the 5th Edition.

The eligible period for each category is:
IDOLS: releases from October 1st, 2024 to April 15th, 2025.
CHARACTERS: Any character that wasn't part of 4th Edition.
ACTOR: Dramas and movies released between January 1st, 2024 to April 15th, 2025.

Please read all rules and directions for nominations and picture suggestions before start discussing your submissions with other members.

Starting on 5th Edition, we'll now have group cards!
To test the waters, only groups that are part of our main roster will be part of this mechanic.

And speaking of the main roster, the list was updated. We added ILLIT and KISS OF LIFE, and removed fromis_9.

Another new thing coming to the 5th edition is the possibility of multiple comebacks on the same edition, meaning that all releases made by an artist within the eligible period can be submitted.

@Events Squad We're officially done with all 4th edition cards (including actors from the 3rd edition) + those ancient orders are also all done as well. Deliveries will start soon!

This means it's finally time for us to start preparing for the 5th edition.
We have a few new things such as group cards and multiple comebacks in a single edition, so make sure to read everything carefully.
This time around we also have two separate threads: one exclusively for discussions (this one that i'm tagging you all), and the other one for nominations and pic suggestions.

Really? I thought they released something since 4th edition...that's why i didn't even remove them from the main roster No units or solo releases at all?

If there are real artists behind them (ex: K/DA, Plave), they go on Idols.
If it's AI or synthesized voice, it goes on characters.

thanks. I was just confused bc the prosekai singers with actual voices behind them were within the characters list (though they're more an extension of the Vocaloid brand so it makes sense for them)
I guess I'll be adding them to idols then ~

I’m also arguing that WayV should really be added to the main roster. I’ve noticed they are high in demand and everyone always tried to get all the members into 4th edition through suggestions.

It's because i screwed up. 4th edition was supposed to be released last October lol But don't worry, we still have 2 more months before the release of 5th edition.

I’m also arguing that WayV should really be added to the main roster. I’ve noticed they are high in demand and everyone always tried to get all the members into 4th edition through suggestions.

NCT and its units are a problem since there are too many lol, so we prioritized the 127 unit. But we will consider WayV for the next edition.

Aren't Project Sekai synthesized voices of real artists? If that's the case, they still fall under characters since it's not really the artist singing.

The vocaloids are synthesized voiced, but the actual project sekai characters are voice actors just voicing the characters.

To my knowledge a select few of the voice actors for project sekai have a singing career outside of voice acting, but overall they’re just voice actors doing voice actor things.

I’d argue they should be characters and not idols because the voice actor voicing the singing voice is just doing their job, it’s not like the voice actor has a separate career where they are promoting the “virtual idol rui” like plave or KDA.

I'm not familiar with them, but as far as i know, the songs are just synthesized from real voices and not the actual singers doing the job.

This. I feel I will chill this edition, I don't have anything to suggest. WayV, Dream, and Wish are the only ones missing for me but then I must consider this forum is anti-bg/anti-NCT.

For characters: the only anime I'm currently watching is The Apothecary Diaries and game characters are the main thing now there anyways so I will not suggest anything there.
