Korean Entertainment Associations, including the top 5:
Korea Entertainment Management Association, Korea Entertainment Producers Association, Korea Music Label Industry Association, Korea Recording Industry Association, and the Korea Music Content Association

Have put out a public statement bashing NJZ and Ador/Hybe for blasting their issues into the media and trying to win their battles via public opinion instead of through the courts.

They are also asking the Korean government to make an anti-tampering bill to prevent this media play in the future:

Here are parts of the statement (I can’t find one large statement from them? Only parts of it broken up in articles)

It’s pretty long:
The five music organizations, the Korea Entertainment Management Association, the Korea Entertainment Producers Association, the Korea Music Label Industry Association, the Korea Music Label Industry Association, and the Korea Music Contents Association, for the healthy and sustainable development of the popular culture art industry (hereinafter referred to as the K-pop industry), to stop the act of trying to implement their own interests through unfounded public opinion, and the National Assembly and artists to the National Assembly and the government to carry out policy support to eradicate 'tampering', which is the main cause of conflict

in order to resolve the issue, the bill should be revised after accurate fact verification and sufficient consultation with officials, not a public opinion war

Tries to resolve issues or disputes that should be resolved privately by parties through consultations or legal procedures between the parties, such as the press conference and public opinion war of former CEO Min Hee-jin (hereinafter referred to as former CEO Min), which have been going on for the past 10 months, and the attendance of the national superintendent of New Jeans Hani, and group reader activities, are spreading like a trend. The conflict over former CEO Min and New Jeans has continued to this day.

We are trying to inform the public how devastating the K-pop industry is in the process of unilaterally publicized and controversial disputes between the parties, and to find and resolve the root cause of these disputes.

K-pop is an industry that receives a lot of attention from the public, so it can occupy portal sites, Internet communities, SNS, etc. for a considerable period of time just by presenting a simple suspicion to drive public opinion. This kind of content may be accepted as a fact without appropriate fact verification, refutation, or criticism. He pointed out that the National Assembly and government agencies also misunderstand that 'the K-pop industry itself does not have the ability to self-dealize' and recognize this as a problem in the K-pop industry as a whole and introduce various regulations.

In the K-pop industry, artists should also be respected in all working environments. However, it is also necessary to remember that at that time, the public's criticism of 'K-pop artists were mobilized for the sake of the topic' was also intense. In order to prepare a more useful system, we earnestly ask you to listen to various voices in the industry, such as whether the artist is a worker based on a legal basis and the working environment of other K-pop workers other than artists.

Last year's New Jeans press conference triggered the excessive exposure of private disputes between artists and agencies to the media without filtering. Furthermore, there are cases of trying to conduct reader activities before receiving a legal judgment on a disputed issue. The press conference and reader activities of artists representing K-pop are affecting the formation of public opinion and fueling chaos in the industry, leading to a situation where the K-pop industry itself is in crisis.

This situation should not be left unattended any longer. The response to the suspicion of tampering, which is considered the common back of the unfiltered public opinion, should be prioritized. Tampering is an act that can only risk the artist's future value and bear all the risks of the artist's success by making huge investments over a long period of time.

It is time to empathize with the sense of crisis that the K-pop industry can be seriously threatened by tampering, and to gather strength to protect the industry. It’s is also necessary to raise awareness of the artists themselves through various institutional devices. In the case of New Jeans, which is currently doing independent activities without the contract with the agency being legally terminated, it has recently announced a new activity name and even openly announced that 'there is a new agent'. If the contract is not legally protected and is broken by a unilateral declaration, the K-pop industry will lose its foundation for survival.

The National Assembly and the government should not think that disputes or controversies related to tampering are simply conflicts between industry stakeholders, and once again recognize that it is a very serious risk for the K-pop industry, one of the core industries representing Korea.

The New Jeans parents have already put out a statement attacking thing 5 organizations for this and claiming they were manipulated by Hybe and BSH to publish this. They are also attacking BSH in general.

Entertainment associations, all together. They are afraid if NJ "win" the case, this will maybe change the industry so they are trying to protect what they have. Or they don't want to lose the power they had.

NJ fandom and supporters seems to be in a state where HYBE is pulling strings or manipuling behind the scene : politics, journalists, comments from random people, etc. I do think HYBE is capable or will try everything to perturb NJZ's issues but I don't know how powerful they are or how much influence they have.

Maybe because with the courts it will take time and it will not be as easy, another path is to win with public opinion, with emotion, rather than with the law.

This part buried in the middle of the statement is the issue they likely don't want to change:
"In order to prepare a more useful system, we earnestly ask you to listen to various voices in the industry, such as whether the artist is a worker based on a legal basis and the working environment of other K-pop workers other than artists."
They are attempting to create a wedge with the wording. Workers vs. Artists. It would place artists on an equal footing with companies and make them able to speak back to those in charge if the protections aligned with broader employment standards. Unlike the situation as it stands now. In many other countries musicians have a say in things and are treated with respect and the music industry is fine. The fact that there are still agencies who think physical abuse is okay(East Light/dxmon) is proof that changes are required still. Artists are not just a doll to toss about but are human beings. As it stands now artists have few protections against issues with their companies. If you have been a fan for awhile you have witnessed the injuries, fainting, members being marginalized or suddenly leaving and things even worse and more sinister that companies put singers through. They want to maintain their monopoly of power. This is why they don't want this aired in public. They fear an equalization in the playing field.
