Namgyu was so cuteRight?? I spent so much of it rationalizing the plot with “this is a journey.” It felt like a tug-of-war with them.
However, after Namkyu’s demise, I kept thinking back to him.
It tends to be the reason I avoid “realism,” I’m too delusional for genuine, real life events sometimes
But it was also refreshing and served as just another reason Goeun’s hedonism wasn’t exactly wrong. A lot of his actions are misguided, but he lives.

Yeong has a lot of questionable actions and, dare i say, problematic actions. Like when got mad at Miae for revealing his sexuality to her fiance, but he wasted no time on pushing his boyfriend out of the closet for his bosses. But that is what makes this show so human and a very real portrait of a gay man

I was so mad at that scene? Considering it is, somewhat, biographical, it makes good sense that Miae is actually a really good representation of a female character in a BL. I feel like a lot of female characters get written as a really weird observer? Often pushy, and somehow becoming the pseudo main character. So, I felt protective of her the whole time.Namgyu was so cuteHe didn't deserve anything that happened to him.

Edit: To clarify - this is my beef with most of literature. That female characters are often used as literary devices instead of actual characters. But in this plot we see the two growing side by side. Sometimes in parallel, and other times intertwining tightly.

But you’re absolutely right - it is realistic for him to be such a hypocrite. One of the worst parts of growing up and growing through being a young adult hinges on in hypocrisy. Also, when you’re younger you don’t realize the seismic effects of your reactions to certain events.

I think he had the right to be mad at her, but he could be more understanding of her situation as well. It's a scary thing being outed like that, but then he did the same thing to someone elseI was so mad at that scene? But i think BL is not the best place to find female characters (with some exceptions)

Ooop true!I think he had the right to be mad at her, but he could be more understanding of her situation as well. It's a scary thing being outed like that, but then he did the same thing to someone else
