Has there ever been a time where an idol's voice surprised you?

Yuqi's voice gave me a whole whiplash when Gidle debuted. I'd never heard her speak or sing before Latata and I was pleasantly surprised. Her voice was soooo deep, i was expecting her vocals to be bright and a little airy. It was an instant stan. I still do get surprised by her vocal tone occassionally. Like when Gidle did this cover.



Fromis_9's Gyuri's vocal tone is especially refreshing. She really shined in Fromis's cover of Red Flavor to me



Red Velvet's Wendy always surprises me with her versitality. She can have deep dark vocals like in her recent cover Everybody Hurt's Sometimes to a cutesy vocal tone like in RV's bside butterflies




There's a lot more i want to talk about, but I dont want to end up with a huge wall of text or i dont have any video proof to show what I mean
I'll just name drop a few others that come to mind. F(x) Luna, EXO's Kyungsoo, Gugudan/IOI's Sejeong, SNSD's Taeyeon and Seohyun
