what do you think!
While I'm usually praising her more dramatic songs, I love her softer singing too. This one has a very sentimental, nostalgic sound and I'm sure I'll be listening to it a lot when I'm taking walks. Especially during nightfall. That's usually when I listen to her songs so it fits perfectly.
As for the song I'm very happy with the change at about 3 minutes in when she sings with more connection; if the song had been similar throughout it would've been a bit too much. I don't think it's a song I'm going to be sitting down and listening to that much though, because I have a feeling it's going to make me slightly restless. It's more of a mood-making song.

But this is based on only having heard it twice, so my thoughts will probably change a bit. What do you think?

Pretty much the same as you actually! i was going to label it a boring ballad until it switched up unexpectedly 3 mins in.

I really enjoy her voice and the production quality on this one though. The note at 1:06 surprised me pleasantly. I think her singing has gotten better yet again - seems like when she does the festival circuits she's also testing what works for her constantly.

Someone on YT said hebe's title songs, unusually, aren't the ones that are meant to become popular but the ones that encapsulate the theme of the album; it's usually the second song that goes big, besides Leave Me Alone. I actually agree, and am pretty eager for the album if this shows off her vocal ability for this album.

It's definitely a song to wind down for the day for me though. After listening it to it a couple of times I'm feeling like tucking myself into bed. I usually work to her songs, but I'm not sure I can listen to this one as I work, it's too soothing.

Soooo

I had a chance to read the lyrics and listen with the song
I change my mind
it's great
she really sings the lyrics' intent

"The setting sun announces that today has already passed away
The dying of the light, this is my battlefield
Meeting again in a bustling market
I really like your ‘her’
(She) suits you perfectly (T/N this is the sighing vocals part)

(I'm) really happy, it’s not pretense
Without the sparks, (our) interacting is healthy (T/N this is the high note part)
(I) quickly take out my phone, to show you my ‘him’
If you don't mind

(Chorus)
The sun that is setting is the same sun
Is there anything special about it?
Aren’t you exactly the same?
Warm, yet distant

Regarding love that’s impossible
It should be treated like the summer solstice
Just let it set

She deliberately isn’t paying attention
Wants to leave some space for us
to talk once more
It's like I'm fooling myself
Acting out a story that's full of holes
(As if I'm making myself seem so) open-hearted

You don't forget to mock yourself
For not being good enough, yet always having someone to worry over you
I'm carried away by the memories again
How come my heart just can't be strong?

(Chorus, change in tempo)
The sun that is setting is the same sun
Is there anything special about it?
Aren’t you exactly the same?
Warm, yet distant

Regarding love that’s impossible
It should be treated like the summer solstice
Just let it set

Let it set

Let me leave it in the past
I haven't left it in the past
I want to leave it in the past"
