How many tabs do you typically have open at the same time on your Internet Browser?

Thread is inspired by @Vampire being shocked at the number of tabs I have opened.


On a normal day, typically around 20+.

But on a busy day, I can have up to 200 to 300+ tabs opened. Mainly because I have lots of tabs open for research due to my studies as a Sport Science student. I have to look through countless number of Scientific Journals to do lots of analysis to write my research papers. Other opened tabs are music, variety shows I want to check out while I am taking a break from my research. And also, exercise videos where I watch for fun and to learn more from other peoples.

Anyway at the time of this thread, I have 5 windows opened, consisting of 339 tabs opened apparently because I have to work on 3 different Sports Science reports (A 8-week training periodization plan for a chosen Sport and their athlete, a psychology paper on how to enter the flow state, and finally a lab report on thermoregulation)

sometimes i have a tendency to open too many tabs to read/watch things later. But once it gets too clustered, i close some out. 20 prob would be max. but it's not really common. ATM i have 6.

I hate having too many tabs open. Usually i have between 10-15 tabs when i'm working and around 5 tabs when i'm not.

If i have too many tabs open bc of work, i just add the least important tabs to Chrome's reading list and close them, this way i can come back to them later if i ever need it.

To answer your question I usualy have 4 ish tabs open, unless I'm scrolling reddit, 'coz then I'm gonna open X amount threads before I start reading them and closing after

Anyway for those interested to know:

Let say if I have to close my laptop to bring it to school, the amount of time I transferred those link to my own discord server where I keep track of stuffs, are roughly two hours max.

Usually 1 tab open for my music or ASMR, 1 tab for the assignment I’m typing, and another 2-3 for other stuff related to the assignment.

Sometimes there’s 1 extra tab open incase I’m getting bored or need a break and decide to do some retail therapy or check up on what’s going on here.

My phone's browser only allows 99 tabs. I usually clear stuff away once a day when it is quiet. Right now 65 though.

For me 66, I dont close them (THEY'RE IMPORTANT MANHWAS) but only if my laptop crashes than i'll have to close "some"

I have 3 Google Chromes open every day + Opera which has the condensed tabs and there's legit probably anywhere between 200 or 300 open depending on what I'm doing

5 at most? Usually 3 of them are pinned tabs, the other 2 are me randomly browsing stuff. I tend to close tabs a lot so it encourages me to not spend too much time on the sites.
