Over the years, the music industry has continuously put out remakes — that is, updated versions of previously released songs — and Korean entertainment, or "Hallyu", is not any more different at least in this respect.

Just this past month, there have also been remakes of previously enjoyed songs. Examples include: "Hug" by RIIZE, originally by TVXQ!; You, Always (2025) by Catch The Young, originally by Mono; and "After Love" by Song Hye-kyo, originally by Uhm Jung-hwa. Agencies have even gone further to release albums only with remakes— namely, RBW's "MAMAMOO 10th Anniversary Remake 'Coloring' Project" and "2025 SMTOWN: THE CULTURE, THE FUTURE", the latter which is scheduled to be released on February 14 2025.

So, as you now know, music remakes are — and will continue to be — popular and they are here to stay, regardless of the praise or criticism that they may receive from listeners. I was actually reminded about this very topic as I was browsing YouTube where I stumbled across one comment on the official music video for "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Girl's Day that asked if anyone had wanted to see the song being remade.

From listening to "Nothing Lasts Forever", I like the chorus and so I wouldn't personally mind hearing it again in a remake of the song, but, like I've said, there are plenty of potential choices that could also be considered. I've only just used "Nothing Lasts Forever" here as one example.

Now, what naturally follows then is my question, which is: is there a song, or rather songs that you would like to see being remade? This is assuming that you have the permission of the copyright holders to be able to remake it.

Britney Spears' 'Toxic' but for a boy group. WayV would eat that up

Kenshi Yonezu's 'Lemon' & 'Paprika'

Creepy Nuts' 'Bad Orangez'

As for Kpop, SHINee's 'Replay' & 2012 Alive-era Big Bang
