jyp, u are not seeing heaven...I watched a2k, followed this group, and really enjoyed their music, but wtf...disband the group now and free those girls. Truly every kpop company is trash
and I don't want to speculate, but this really makes me think about the fact that Kaylee has been absent with no real explanation for almost a whole year now...poor kid was only 13 when this group was formed

*edit* she’s suing the JYP USA branch, not JYP Korea.
They also have the full accounts of the abuse on Twitter and people are definitely going to jail.

She said it and it's sadly not new : the issue is deeply within the industry. You can't have a healthy working condition as an idol with the insane standards, the working culture, the crazy schedules, even when you aren't promoting. I'm surprised many young people are still trying to become an idol despite those conditions.
And JYP is often regarded as one of the "best" in this industry, so imagine the others
Moreover you don't get to choose your concept, your songs, everything is decided for them. Songwriting and production will eventually come but way later if they are lucky. Jeon Soyeon's case is one of the exception.
The freedom is very limited, it's not for everybody and it's probably harder for Westerners.

I don't really know much about KG, but honestly, this is such a strong and mature message.
Very impressive. Others would do well to take note and use her format as a sort of template (IMO).
May she find her choice to be one of purpose and peace.
- She has a coherent thought that is both specific in its purpose and focused on her own values and what she is/isn't comfortable with rather than purely blaming others.
- She is mindful of the larger system at play here, which her situation is embedded within.
- She is still demonstrating compassion for those still within the system.
- She hopes her exit will send a signal that motivates a systemic change someday.
- She is making an exit with the perspective that staying will interfere with her vision as an artist.
- She also shows it's a mixed bag, with some goodness and gratitude to be acknowledged, all things considered.

Some of the things people are surprised about are:
- There are written rules in the contract that you can't darken your skin.
- They have full control over your appearance and can make up a fake personality for you.
- They own your image and can use it for AI or NFT's
- The disability clause
In some brighter news: there is a specific clause about there being no hidden cameras, so since their JYP American violated this clause she has a strong chance of winning her case.

I genuinely hope that she wins her case, JYPE should disband the group. They've suffered long enough.. Knowing that so many people consider JYPE to be the "best" agency to join is sad. Truly, No agency / Company treats any groups so well, I guess this is what the disappearance was about. I hope all the girls are okay, Especially KG. She deserves alot of support right now. I hope Kaylee's doing well too!
