I've read on AskReddit that actual wealthy people don't buy crap like this and that the people who tend to buy these are often the nouveau rich. Also products like the bag above are considered on the "lower range" for these brands and the more expensive stuff tend to be more subtle and less outrageous. As the saying goes, "money speaks but wealth whispers."
