To celebrate its fourth anniversary, Line Music Japan released 2 charts showing the top 100 most streamed songs on the platform and the top 100 songs most used for the background song of user profiles. Topping the charts are Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" and Shota Shimizu's "My Boo".
The highest-ranking songs by Korean artists are "Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto" by former Kara member Jiyoung at 12th position on the background chart, and "BANG BANG BANG" by Big Bang, the 14th most streamed song on the platform.

I searched for BTS in the charts just now and got 0 matches but they might be there under a Japanese name. From skimming through them I didn't see them though.Ed Sheeran sure has a lot of fans in Japan than J-pop artists have.

TWICE has a combined total of 8 entries if we add both charts. Big Bang has 4, if we include Taeyang's ENL.

It's not that strange though. It's a four-year chart and they've only really taken off recently.weird...i tried their japanese name 防弾少年団 and ビーティーエス but no match either
They have a massive following, and I wouldn't say they're hated at all.I still think BTS are hated in Japan though.
