The 'Sneaker Best Dresser Award' was established in 2018 by the Wellness Wednesday Association. Awards are handed out to those who "look good in sneakers," those who "you want to wear sneakers in the future," and those who "make contributions in encouraging more people to wear sneakers." This year, the award went to Maeda Atsuko for the Actress Category, THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE's Kawamura Kazuma for the Actor Category, Nukumi Meru for the Model Category, and Chocolate Planet's Matsuo Shun for the Entertainer Category.
A special award was also given to Fukui Prefecture who have brought in the concept of 'sneaker biz,' which encourages citizens to exercise more by walking in-between work and during their breaks.
