If organized like FLO all kill will be more difficult.
No more zombie streamers! I see this as an absolute win! All real-time charts should be done away with!

I don't really get it tbh
also don't see how it's supposed to ease competition, in my eyes it will just make it way harder for up and coming artists to break through

so from what I understand it will basically eliminate fandom streaming because it goes off of 24 hour unique listeners rather than hourly real time which bg fandoms inparticular were able to exploit by streaming with a large fandom over and over rather than based on actual unique listeners. On the list you can notice how all of the Zombie streamed songs (mostly bg songs) have fallen off by a lot because they have been streamed by the fandom multiple times rather than unique listeners listening to the song. If that makes any sense lmao

yeah basically but what I don't get is how they're gonna get rid of the numbers? how is it a ranking with no placements? is it just an ordered list format without numbers because honestly that's..... it won't make it any different, people can just count them down
they should just say they want to better reflect what's trending nationwide, they didn't need to try to sugarcoat it as easing competition because it won't

I think that we'll have to see what kind of list it will look like lmao. But tbh I think its more about the switch from the stream amount to the uls that will be the big thing, the justification they are using is kinda humorous tho lol.

Fandoms will still find a way to manipulate numbers, though it will be harder to do, and the impact not as large. Beyond just stealing their parents' / siblings' phone for a while, I can certainly see fandoms / "viral marketing companies" paying people to "stream", since they only have to do it once a day. Still, it's a whole lot better than seeing a popular BG's entire discography hog up the charts in the late hours.
Removing ranking numbers? Not trying to promote competition? LOL. Is this Korea we are talking about? I don't think people have an issue with competition and ranking. The main issue is the less-than-desirable tactics that fandoms and agencies use to influence those numbers.
But we will likely stop seeing the kind of numbers and records that we've had in the past. I can see the number of weeks idol songs spend on the Top 10 / Top 100 Melon drop quite a bit.
