For non-Americans who don't know, watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on Thanksgiving is one of the most American traditions. Even if an American has never watched it before, they'd certainly know of it by name alone because it's televised on TV every year and is one of the most famous parades. The other famous parade is the Rose Parade that takes place on New Year's Day.

Thanksgiving is held on the fourth Thursday of November. The date is never the same because it changes every year. This year it's the 28th but last year it was the 22nd since November 2018 had 5 weeks (and the 22nd fell on the 4th Thursday) whereas November 2019 only has 4 weeks.
