i think the cast is fine, honestly it would be incredibly hard for Netflix to screw up here since is mostly set in Japan and doesn't jump the gun until later in the series, looking forward to it

... why? I'm sure it will be good, but it seems like the type of story that is conveyed better through animation?

good question, seems Netflix is desperate to fill their catalog with whatever they can get their hands onto, the fact that the ONE PIECE live action was decent and was a hit is just going to encourage them to keep making more and more
but it seems like the type of story that is conveyed better through animation?
i would be up for an Anime remake of it! HxH got remaked and the new version was (although i haven't seen the first Anime) even better

whatever happens with the live action is hopefully a sign they are planning to revive the ip

That definitely makes sense but the main plot points and the whimsy of yuyu hakusho would require so much VFX and a ton of time and money.

I'd be so down for an anime reboot!! I feel like the show was so good and while the animation was good, I'd love to see what artistic direction a new team would go in!
