NJZ weird fan interaction

NJZ have been getting called out in the western side of the kpop community for what people view as an inappropriate friendship with a certain fan account of theirs.

I am not going to name-drop the account in this post, I will be abbreviating the account's username as "TT" or just calling them "The account owner". The screenshots I will be sharing though will have the username though (and this is also all over twitter).

TT is a NJZ account that for the most part shares NJZ news across various social media platforms. They are quick to defend them online, and also is huge supporter of MHJ as well.

In support of NJZ, TT are also famously known thought for saying/causing hate towards other groups such as BTS, Illit, LSF, Blackpink, and more. They seem to be pretty well known in the kpop community for arranging a lot of hate towards Illit when the whole plagiarism scandal started.

This is also something else the account has been getting heat for over the past few days. It's sort of sensitive content, so please be advised:

The account was also known to have said some racial slurs around 10 years ago. The account apparently did release an apology 10 years ago over the racial slurs, and has never said any racial slurs again, though some people do not accept the apology and are very upset that they said the racial slurs in the first place.


Now if you're wondering what NJZ has to do with this, it was revealed recently that the NJZ members themselves are/were in contact with the account owner. A photo was shared of the account owner meeting up with Danielle and Hanni, messages between the account owner and the official NJZ accounts were shared, a photo of the NJZ members sending signed gifts to the account owner was shared, and screenshots of MHJ and the NJZ member's family members liking/sharing the account owner's posts were shared as well.

The information was shared by a friend/mutual of the account owner who the account owner shared the information with.

*I will be censoring out the account owner's face. Since the account owner has a whole tiktok account where she records videos of herself sharing NJZ news her identity isn't really a secret, though I personally just feel more comfortable censoring her face out just to be safe.*

Fans are currently upset at NJZ for being in contact with such a problematic account, especially since this account has spread hate towards other groups before.

This is also another concern that i'm going to post under spoiler:
People are also concerned with the fact that the account owner is 30, some of the NJZ members are/were minors, and they were becoming friends.

Some people are saying NJZ probably had no idea the account was problematic and are praising NJZ for meeting up with a fan for free, though other people are wondering just how aware/unaware the NJZ members were of this account's behavior, especially if they have been liking her posts before.

The account owner has posted an "apology" on instagram, claiming they are no longer in contact with the girls. They claimed they never spread hatred towards other groups, and they apologized for causing the girls trouble during a legally sensitive time.​

TT's circle tried very hard to keep all this stuffs secret but it looks like TT was too confident or too reckless, or both, and shared with someone who then leaked it at the worst moment possible. As if it wasn't enough since the NJZ fandom was coping or in shambles after that injunction lost, now they have this mess because the news even got to AKP

I don't mind the age gap but TT was known to actively post a lot of hate about other groups and from what I've read you don't want to be that person's friend

And that audio leak, no comment

TT was "only" involved in the Kpop community for 2 years and was able to get close to NJZ, that's quite an achievement. They met at least once, exchanged DM and the members even offered gifts

Once again NJZ could maybe only be seeing her NJZ news stuff and invited her from those, but if they did know the full extent of what she posted tbh I’m honestly side-eyeing them and their character a bit. Even if you have beef with another idol you shouldn’t be encouraging your fans to have beef with them as well.

It’s also INCREDIBLY dangerous. I know the girls had no official management at the time, but you don’t just go and meet someone you met off Twitter. It’s incredibly dangerous for both parties.

People are questioning how close the girls are to team tokki now since it’s been assumed they maybe are in cahoots with MHJ and tbh? If this is real maybe that’s real too

This was November 4th. They did not start their contract termination until ten days later. That's why it is newjeans dm because they were still under ador management and had access. So ador was aware apparently as it is the company's official sns which they would do the main monitoring.

Re: racism

I doubt they knew about that. But tbc people in Australia are actually pretty racist. certainly in terms of white people being racist to everyone who isn't white. So the idea that the Australian members of new jeans could potentially have racial prejudice towards whatever groups of people isn't surprising.

And as for this person: saying racist shit on K-Pop stan Twitter is like so commonplace that it's practically a requirement to gain entry.

For this person: wouldn't expect anything less from a super parasocial update account on twitter. In general that place is .

Also I don't care what age or gender u are you should not be going out to meet randos alone.

It's like nobody learned anything from Nayeon's stalking situation.

And as for this lady, I'm older than her but like I don't even feel comfortable calling myself the fandom name for any group that has minors in it.

Especially ones like zerobaseone, who have a member (yujin) who's young enough to be my kid if I had him when I was a teenager, so the idea that you're this obsessed with these girls and wanna meet them?

Yeah, no. That's definitely weird. She mentioned a flight so that makes me question where she's from and I know that in China at least there are "mom/dad fans".

It's not that u can't be an older fan. it's about how u engage with kpop and why. Adult fans liking groups with minors in them are generally going to get side eyed by ppl and when your super obsessed with them ppl are going to question what's that's about.


Also all the adults have failed them. And I wouldn't be surprised that mhj leaves because of the legal trouble/hyein is the only minor now and will turn 19 in 2027.

Considering that Hanni was one of my main bias in NJ, I just keep getting more and more disappointed in her. For Danielle, I have always feel off about her, and sadly it seem like I am slowly being proven right..

She full on exposed the person’s full name, her face, where she lives, her job, and made a template for other tokki’s to mass spam her workplace to get her fired from her job.

And THIS is the fan the girls decided to meet and send gifts too???

I hope in some way that poor girl can press legal charges…
