As of today, October 8, 2020, Tsubaki Factory member Ogata Risa will be on hiatus as a result of a social media scandal. In the weeks leading up to this announcement, an anonymous twitter account had posted screenshots of an Instagram account purported to be Ogata's private account. In this account, Ogata posted a number of controversial messages, including photos with potential boyfriends. However, the most shocking content was messages actively disparaging the other Tsubaki Factory members and asserting that she disliked her own group's music and would be graduating soon. Ogata and the Representative Director of UP-FRONT, which runs Hello!Project, the agency Tsubaki Factory is under, have confirmed that this was indeed her account and that she wrote the messages in question. No timeline is given for her return to the group.

Regarding member Ogata Risa, for the time being, she will be taking a break from her activities.

Earlier, a situation that went against Hello!Project rules came to light, and Ogata herself acknowledged that it was true.
She proposed that she should refrain from participating in her activities,
and so, taking into account the feelings of the other members, we decided that it would be best for Ogata to set aside some time for now
to suspend her activities.

By all rights, it seems she was using SNS as a sort of diary that not just anyone could see,
but there were things written that were driven by her emotions at the time that included some subjective assumptions.
Still, complaining is something that everyone does.
Ogata herself is doing some serious reflection on this incident.
We want her to use this as a lesson, to take this time of suspension as a way to reflect on herself,
and we as a company will support her by keeping close to her feelings.
Additionally, after verifying what has happened here, we are of the opinion that we will make the best of this from here on.

I believe that all of the fans as well as others it may concern will be shocked by this sudden announcement.
I apologize for causing any worry or inconvenience.
I would appreciate your understanding and acceptance.

I thought it could be real after the first leak. The second had me doubt because it seemed like someone was just systematically going through all the members and dissing them all, which seemed like a set-up. Turns out, she's just that petty. Still, I'm glad that UFP isn't the one issuing the punishment, really. Nishiguchi seems to understand that she needed to vent, but unfortunately there are lots of shady people who will take advantage of knowing an idol and make sure everyone knows what they're doing behind closed doors.

This would have been the perfect opportunity to graduate to prove herself correct.

I also heard the rumours and since they seem to be true it is hard for her to continue in the group. Based on this thread it seems like she wrote even more than I thought.
