So there is a whole bunch of drama and confusion going around the singer Ok Taecyeon of 2PM.
Some photos leaked that were from April (?) of last year of him with a women in Paris where he looks to be proposing to the women with a diamond ring.
I'm putting the pictures under cut because the women is a non celebrity and i'm not sure if she really wants her face spread around? (Though it's a bit too late for that...)
This confused many people because I guess Taecyeon has mentioned having a girlfriend (they have been together for 5 years?) but he I guess never mentioned her often so people wondered if he really was even dating. (The source article stated he went on many public dates with her though?) Many people were confused about him being engaged because he never announced it. Many people also assumed he was probably married by now taking into consideration when the photos were taken.
The photos were taken as part of a photoshoot by a professional photographer in Paris. To my understanding, the photographer posted/leaked the photos.
Taecyeon's agency later released a statement saying the photos were taken out of context. He is now claiming that the diamond ring was just a birthday present to his girlfriend and the photos are old and from over a year ago. He also said that he has no immediate marriage plans.
This seemed to stir up stuff with netizens even further. Many people are not buying this story. Other people are criticizing him because what 36-yr old buys their girlfriend of five years a diamond (promise?) ring as a birthday present and presents it to her on a trip to Paris proposal style?
No one is really buying his story and are wishing he made up a better one. If he is getting married though, everyone is wishing him well.

Taecyeon has always been a very upright idol and avoided controversy. Even gave up his American citizenship and had a surgery to repair an injury to serve in the Korean military. Both would have enabled him to avoid service.
Also the woman in question is a private citizen and not a public figure.
So while people can speculate all they wish, until he announces something publicly people should keep calm and be patient. Forcing an acknowledgement is not very nice. Ultimately it is the pair's personal business and the public doesn't have to know everything about a celebrity's life if a non celebrity is involved.

Stanshe's so cute and I wish them the best, the photographer probably had no idea he was famous and posted the pictures on his page not imagining it would become a big issue

That seems to be the genuine consensus from people. Some people say he should sue the photographer for posting them, but it also seems the photographer probably didn’t know who he really was and was just trying to post his portfolio.
