Idols are making money because they are selling this fantasy about dating them so they should be careful about dating around

and folks wonder why idol stans are looked down in south korea is because of shit like this. Not all of K-ent stans are like this, just idol stans and stans of actors and actresses marketed as idols like girl/boynext door types. It also does'nt help that the idol industry makes money off of the image of the idol being single or the idol being "your dream bf/gf" and they also make money with fansign tix in albums which makes people order hundreds of albums for a big idol.

Other singers (indie, trot, khiphop, ballad and r&b genres) in south korea or actors/actresses that are'nt marketed as bf/gfs but "serious actors" can freely date and marry.

Any fan that gets upset cause his/her bias is dating cannot be a true fan. As a fan, you literay want them to be happy. Dating will make them so happy, why would you want a miserable idol who cant go after someone they have feelings for meanwhile you as a fan get to date...this way of thinking is backward, envious and just plain ridiculous!
