The #1 visual pick in Produce 48 is Wang Yirun who got 9 votes. Kim Minjoo got 7 votes and ranked 2nd. But from the top 1 to top 10, there was no tie.

So by their logic, if all 10 of them got different scores, the second got 7 votes / 3rd got 6 votes / 4th got 5 votes / 6th got 3 votes / 7th got 2 votes / 8th got 1 vote and 9th and 10th got 0.

This is also f*cking unbelievable, that Kang Yewon and Lee Sejin didn't make it into the visual tops... especialy in season 1. And in P48, I found it weird how nobody mentioned Kim Shihyun. She was the national producers' visual picks on top of that. And even in this season, there were so many kids that I couldn't understand how they made it in the visual picks

I know that there are already trolls here but there are also people who might find the decision to add Momo weird since they don't know about the situation, so I'm writing this. They decided to add Momo after consulting the teachers who taught the kids and the CEO, that's why she was added.

Sixteen has always had a judges and performance component from the beginning. And you see JYP's mug throughout the whole competition - him sitting there on that elevated platform looking down on everything, there was no mistaking visually that his opinion was going to matter the most. Although the mentors influenced standings and eliminations early on based on their evaluations, all the main selection for PD48 was done by the so-called "national producers".

Everything in the Produce series is geared towards making you, the viewer, feel that you had direct influence on the outcome of the show, from voting your faves, to all the other things like your online interactions that lead to them getting those sponsored goods. You're also reminded regularly the girls' standings in terms of vote count to further drive fan voting, which encouraged diehard fans to resort to using money to try and drive up the vote count. The whole gimmick of Produce is the "national producer" that everyone on screen keeps bowing to, so no surprise people are more upset about the results being manipulated. Which is why one season of Produce was enough for me.

The main gripe about Sixteen was the addition of Tzuyu (audience favorite) and Momo (JYP's choice) at the end, which triggered claims of bias or predetermined selection. But looking back in hindsight, those two really did complement the 7 winners, and completed Twice as they are now.

The thing most people forgot about Sixteen is that they were divided into Major and Minor groups and based on their performance, the judges' scores/criteria, and audience votes, a trainee could be in either Major or Minor. Whoever was in the Major group in the last episode got to debut in Twice (plus there's the audience's choice and JYP's choice, which was how Tzuyu and Momo got added to the group). Remember that all the members were in the Minor lineup at one point or another during the show.
