After being a national Producer for 4 years, here are the people who were the biggest victims of the Produce series' devil's editing in my opinion.
Produce 101 Season 1 - Heo Chanmi
There was a scene of her glaring at Yoo Yeonjung (rank B) who received vocal training. She was then broadcasted as her rival. Actually, when Yeonjung was singing, you could read on Chanmi's lips saying "her voice is so pretty..."
During Into The New World, when she mentioned that Yeonjung was good at singing, it was also the same episode where she apologized for her voice cracking. Because of her vocal cord nodules, they wanted to change the main vocal to another trainee but the kids said they'd rather she stay the main vocal. In the end, she sang out of tune, and they replayed that scene multiple times.
They when she had to monitor her own team's performance, she had a serious look but they used the cut to make it seem like she was glaring other kids.
Even so, during the position evaluation, she showed that she was a stable main vocal.
In the end, they just cut down her screen time. Even when she was the main vocal, she barely appeared on screen. Finally, she couldn't make it to the live broadcast.

-> She ended up being top 26 and was eliminated. She went on Mix Nine and got evilly edited again,

Produce 101 Season 2 - Kang Dongho
During his first evaluation, they sang After School's 'Because of You', his voice was unstable when he sang the high note and they replayed that part 3 times. After that, when they released the full audition, everyone was saying how you could barely tell that he made a mistake. He was edited as if his skills were bad.
During the position evaluation, him and Jung Sewoon couldn't agree on how to arrange the music. Kang Dongho then got into a controversy for being too pushy with his own opinion.
Even so, they ended up making a compromise and performed a cool stage. When Kang Dongho was the main coal in 'Open Up', his high notes were also stable.
His best rank: 8
-> He ended up being top 13. After getting eliminated, he went back to promoting with Nu'est W and gathered even more popularity.
Produce 48 - Jang Gyuri
During the group evaluation, she was the main vocal for Peekaboo. She rested her vocal cords a day before the performance so her voice wouldn't come out properly. So her voice cracked when she sang her high note. But they kept magnifying her mistake. After that, she got eliminated at the 3rd elimination and wasn't able to go on the live broadcast.
I think that she got traumatized by the devil's editing so during the position evaluation, even though her team members kept on pushing her to be the main vocal, she kept on declining it even though she ended up doing it. When she said that she felt a lot of pressure because she wanted to do well and went to see the trainers and told them about her concerns, you could see her tears. In the end, they even said that they might replace her as the main vocal. But they still performed a good stage and she improved her image.

-> She was eliminated at top 25. After that, she debuted with Fromis9 and started rising again
Produce X 101 - Ham Wonjin
During Produce, they kept showing him cry. Because of that he even earned the name of Cry-Wonjin.
During Finesse, Kim Sihoon was the leader for the choreography and they edited him evilly when there was some discord between them. Even though Ham Wonjin, Song Hyungjoon and Kim Sihoon made the choreography, Ham Wonjin and Song Hyungjoon's choreographies ended up not being added. And they edited Ham Wonjin's reaction evilly.
For example, there was one instance where Ji Changwook couldn't follow the choreography and everyone was laughing but they edited as if Ham Wonjin was the only one who couldn't keep up. There was even one scene where the caption showed "Ham Wonjin trainee who left the scene" (I think that he got traumatized by the event so you could see him saying "if you want to go to the washroom, you need to say it first" during Pretty Pretty).
In the end, he was the one going to Sihoon first to apologize.
Moreover, in ep. 10, his vocal cords' condition was bad so he gave the main vocal position to Kang Minhee. But they later showed him fighting for another part so he's been evilly edited 2x in a row.
By the way, Ham Wonjin and Kang Minhee are from the same agency and when his name was called out in the last episode, you could see Ham Wonjin tearing up and congratulating him.
In his V-live, he said that his image is different from Cry-Woojin and he showed a side that was more of his age and he was bright, smiling and joking around.
Again, in the live broadcast, they showed him singing just fine and dancing well too.

-> He was eliminated at top 19. He went back to being a trainee and is expected to debut in Starship's new group.

Dongho f*ck. I got reminded of the ranking reveal after Playing With Fire, his name was not called up the top 11 and he told Jaehwan that he was worried. Just how much evil edit did they make that he was previously ranked #8 and started feeling worried? Joonyoung probably felt sorry since Dongho got way more hate than he anticipated since they edited him nicely during the ranking revelation episode. But what's the point? He already received the hate ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ to be honest, in the last episode, Dongho's parents sent a video but they never showed them and it wasn't even mentioned once. Joongyoung, stop making Produce series. Produce X_rigged votes

Meanwhile, Kang Dongho was hurt so he couldn't practice but they made it seem like he was some kind of lazy kidㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Do you really think that he would make it so obvious himself that he's lazy?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ And for his "voice crack" in the first episode, I thought that my ears had issues... oh my god Gyuri's editing was so fucking annoying, they trashed her voice crack while hyping Hong Yeji (which hold the same position in the other Peekaboo team) when both of them had heavily edited backtracks and Yeji herself wasn't any better... embarrassing.
i don't know how anyone managed to watch the show until the end, pd48 is by far the worst female season (between pd101, pd48 and cz101) because of the terrible editing

they really tried it with wooseok but it was so obvious that nobody fell for it lol
i feel bad for wonjin. i think the early screentime made people think he was one of mnet's picks and so they started disliking him... but really they just needed him as the role of the person to point out how cute hyeongjun was, and later minkyu filled that better with his visuals, potential improvement arc, and being from a different company. once it was clear minkyu still needed way more traning, he may have been able to still make if not for his vocal chord damage.. on top of the manipulative editing in the weird sihoon situation, ifans who didn't watch with subs and tended to prefer sihoon to any of the starship trainees kind of automatically took his side... rip to them both

Chanmi was my bias in p101. I liked her since CoEd Schol days and her editing was seriously horrid. The whole build up of her almost Girls Generation member story was so sad.
Like... She didnt even want to do the song, she havent picked it up. She was asked if about her supposed GG debut and her being cut from the group and edited it into her boosting about already recording the song once. Turned her joking into hating for her "rival". Totally ignoring the story about her going to hospital just a day before performance (while they showed it for other girls). Replaying her voice crack like milion times. Made the win looks unfair when she didnt even matter for the win (we all know they won for thatnks to Somi). They just made her into cocky "almost GG" fail. Later made her look greedy for main vocal position even though as every other trainee she just was explaining why she wants the position. She didnt force other members to accept her as main vocal and she did hella good job in the performance. Portraited her as lone wolf judging all other trainees even though she was friendly with many of them. And after her sis called mnet out, they edited Chanmi out to the point she was main vocal and you didnt even saw her face during the preparation shot of the song.
