No Cut News Reports Police Officer Received Special Promotion In 2016 Following Investigation Involving Han Seo Hee And B.I
A new report from CBS No Cut News states that Lieutenant “B,” the police officer in charge of the 2016 drug case involving B.I and “A” (later publicly revealed to be Han Seo Hee) had received a special promotion for how he handled the case.
According to several sources, Lieutenant “B” from the Yongin Dongbu Police Station was promoted one grade in rank around the end of 2016. The special promotion was a result of Lieutenant “B’s” eradication of drug-related crimes including Han Seo Hee’s case. A police source shared, “The special promotion was based on how he handled Han Seo Hee’s case.”
This indicates that the police believed the investigation on Han Seo Hee was carried out well, which is contrary to the recent suspicions of insufficient investigation.
In a call with CBS No Cut News, the head of Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency’s narcotics investigation team explained, “Lieutenant ‘B’ arrested 53 drug offenders from May through October 2016, and Han Seo Hee is only one of them. The reason he got promoted is not due to [Han Seo Hee] and B.I’s case.”
Han Seo Hee was arrested and questioned on August 22, 2016. Lieutenant “B” carried out the first and second questioning sessions on the same day and requested a pretrial detention warrant for Han Seo Hee. However, the request was denied by the prosecution, and Han Seo Hee was sent back home. Lieutenant “B” states that Han Seo Hee mentioned B.I’s name right before the pretrial detention warrant was denied and had to be sent home before any more information could be obtained. She attended her third questioning with a lawyer and changed her testimony.
The police claim they were planning to begin investigating B.I but were instructed by the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office to forward the case to them. As a result, the police forwarded an investigative report mentioning drug-related suspicions on B.I and did not carry out further investigations. Prosecutors deny having instructed the police to forward the case and state that the investigative report they received suggested that a separate internal investigation was being carried out by the police.
Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency has formed a special task force to look into any flaws in the past investigations. It was reported that they are also investigating how the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s narcotics investigation team carried out their investigation on the 2017 case involving BIGBANG’s T.O.P and Han Seo Hee. At the time, Han Seo was reportedly also asked about B.I, but no further investigations took place after the questioning.
A police source shared, “We will thoroughly look into various possibilities including the [police’s] dereliction of duties.”

For his 53 arrests of drug offenders between May and October.
So much questionable stuff going on this investigation, the police and the prosecution pointing the fingers at each other...
