it’s interesting that we had two girl groups surpass 100K this year, with Itzy and MMM. Would have never thought that could happen 10 years ago when I got into K-POP.

Globalization my friend, heh. I'm pretty sure T-ARA, like f(x), would've gotten to 100K in 2013 had the bullying scandal not happened, coz their J album sales easily whizzed through that mark.

Also, KARA and SNSD both had 100K+ album sales in 2011.
