Back in 2nd gen Kpop basically every music video (especially SM) used to be filmed in some variety of brightly lit box!











What do you/ did you think of this trend?

I kinda liked the boxes too tbh, some of my fav songs have box MVs lol Sometimes they became too repetitive though.
Like I wish they'd bring it back but with some kind of twist to make it more interesting.

I doubt they will come back. K-POP is constantly evolving and sadly to me becoming so Americanized that it's losing its unique identity. I miss the weird and crazy concepts they used to have and the cheesy English lyrics they slip into their lyrics.

I honestly don't mind them but SM has been doing it a lot and I'm hoping that it's not a box MV in EXOs upcoming comeback.

i like box mvs, SM still does them, they just arent all so box centered like they used to be
i wouldnt mind some more with a good twist

Let it die, please. I prefer outdoor setting MVs like f(x)'s 4 Walls, MMM's Starry Night and BEG's Brave New World.
