On twitter the Plave member's real identities have been supposedly leaked.

I wasn't sure whether to label this as a rumor or as sensitive content since two of the members have done some bad things, but in the end I went with sensitive content just to be safe.

As of right now their company has not released a statement on any of this information getting out, and this is "technically" just a rumor though many Knetz seems to believe these are the people behind the avatars.

The reason their identities got leaked online is because of some fanwars going on. It seems Plave's fans and IVE's fans got into a war because Plave fans were angry Rebel Heart has been blocking Plave's comeback from topping the charts. There is also apparently a fanwar going on between Plave fans and a comedian?

Twitter is currently up in flames over the people behind the voiced being a lot older than their avatars (?) are. As of right now the members claim to be between 23-21 years old with one member keeping their age anonymous, but in reality the people voicing the characters are 29-33 years old (except for the person who chose not to disclose his age).

I also want to give a warning that many Knetz are attacking the members for their virtual avatar's skin tones being significantly lighter than the skin tones of the members in real life :jy:

There are also issues with some of the people behind the avatars being known to be friends with sex offenders, misogynistic, and known to have written violent lyrics (the lyrics are both violent in general and violent towards women).

Since this isn't official, I will put each of the member's supposed identities under spoiler.

Leader Yejun, who claims to be 23 years old, is actually 32 yrs old Junhyuk from the kpop group HOTSHOT who disbanded in 2021.

He is also active as a singer-songwriter under the name "Polar".

Knetz are also attacking him for his avatar having a lighter skin tone than his real skin tone, though oversea kpop fans feel it's ridiculous to attack him over him not being as pale as his virtual avatar in real life.

Noah, who also claimed to be 24 years old, was revealed to be 32 yr old former History member Jaeho.

He now goes by the name Nano instead of Jaeho.

He is a producer with his own company called "BILLION MUSIC" and has produced songs for many groups such as ARTMS, STAYC, Victon, and TripleS along with producing for the survival show Universe Ticket which made the group UNIS.

Knetz are also attacking him for his skin tone which I think is ridiculous :lizheadache:

WARNING: NEXT TWO TOPICS INCLUDE SENSITIVE CONTENT:
22 year old member Bamby was revealed to be 31 year old BJOO/Byung Joo from the group ToppDogg/XENO-T.

I can't quite tell if they are attacking his skin tone? I can't tell?

He is the member who is currently being attacked for being openly friends with a known sex offender. He's openly friend's with TST's Kyeonha who was sentenced to 3 years probation and 18 months in jail for sexual harassment (SA?) of a minor.
Here is a tweet where someone provided screenshots:

21 yr old member Eunho was revealed to be 29 yr old Sangwon who is also from ToppDogg/XENO-T.

He also is a producer under the names XLIMIT/XLMT and is part of a producing team called VENDORS. Vendors have written songs for TONS of artists ranging from TXT, BTS, Got7, ZB1, Dreamcatcher, TripleS, and many more. I would like to shout out that Vendors has a TON of people on the team so who knows who specifically worked on what song. Jaeho is also the leader of the Vendors team.

He is the one getting attacked the most online. He is the member who is now famously known for writing songs with very violent lyrics in general along with violent and misogynistic lyrics towards women.

I won't post the lyrics here, but you can read some of the stuff he's written here on Panchoa.

Here is also a link to a tweet with a copy of his half-assed apology he wrote for some of the terrible stuff he's written.

Due to all of the terrible things he has said about women many people seem to want him out of the group.

Member Hamin, who never actually revealed his age, is revealed to be Byun Hyun Min who is currently 25 years old.

He is currently being praised by Knetz for not lying about his age and also not making his avatar significantly lighter than his actual skin tone.

He has debuted multiple times. He was in produce 101 season 2 and finished in 45th place, He was in a project group called Rainz, and he is/was part of a co-ed group called K-Tigers Zero.

I don't know anything about PLAVE, so maybe i'm just understanding things wrong? But I don't see the outrage in them lying about their age?
Aren't they just sort of like voice actors? They aren't claiming to be the virtual avatars, they are just voicing them? There also seemed to be a general understanding ( in the western fandom at least) that the members were voiced by older kpop idols so a lot of western kpop fans were not surprised by the real ages and fully expecting it.

The two problematic members are concerning though and I fully understand fans wanting Eunho out of the group due to the terrible stuff he's written about women. I vaugley remember reading about his scandals in the past.

................ its normal for animes to not look like themselves , *I've figured that out wholeheartedly* it's okay if they lied Abt their age bcz their avatars do looked like that age.

this has been aired out quite a few times but Plave fans usually move like cops and shut shit down….so amazing work IVE fans!

+ I’ve been following Bjoo since his Topp Dogg days and had no clue about that, extremely disappointed ☹️

iirc, they've all been leaked for years. (Eunho's in particular was well known) But the fans refuse to share their names & info bc doxxing them is absolutely forbidden in the v-tuber/virtual idol space. Though you could still find their identities if you looked hard enough (I've personally known their identities for at least 8 months now.) Everyone already knew that they were faking their ages in the first place so that's not a big deal.

IMO, name-dropping them on twt is a huge invasion of privacy and should be called out. Unless they come out and share their past personas officially then it's not ok. If this happened in my country, you could legit take legal action against the doxxers.

This isn't the first time that comedian has been on their case tbh, so I think the fans reaction against her was pretty warranted (even if the take was pretty mild).

I don't understand netizens' logic about the avatars not looking like them. They wanted anonymity, so obvious it would be a 1 to 1 exact copy. For the sake of any innocent members, I hope that netizens are wrong about their identities and they're able to continue living private lives.

Now, what netizens SHOULD be concerned about are accusations about two members.

I could have sworn they got leaked from nearly day 1, I guess they just blew too big to hide anymore? The skin tone thing is ridiculous but I thought it was common knowledge that the VAs were older idols who failed to find success elsewhere?

Didn't ever actually care enough to know the identities but those two with the shadier assosciations... yeah I can see why they'd feel the need to perform anonymously lmao not sure the group will properly bounce back from this. At least not be as mainstream as they are right now.

The Bjoo situation, if he was friends with him prior to the arrest that would be one thing, but he has apparently been commenting on his stuff and doing “aegyo/cutesy” comments towards him AFTER his conviction like nothing happened with is very concerning.

Usually is someone is convicted for SA/SH their idol friends unfollow them and don’t talk to them publicly anymore. I have no idea what’s his problem that he’s still publicly acting all buddy buddy with him like the arrest never happened, especially considering the crime. :jinjudge:

Unless they do a defamation lawsuit I don't know how well legal action would do since by talking legal action they would be acknowledging that those are who they are in real life.

I feel like you are on the mark with this one. A lot of PLAVE fans seem pretty unfazed by this information (though Beefy said the fans usually work to take the info down), its the casual fans and non-fans who are finding this news shocking. I've mentioned before that they have sort of become the new lim wooyoung in terms of charting, I think they finally hit a point where they are so popular now this can't really be hidden anymore. It might not ever be formally addressed by Plave, but it has gotten to a point where non-fans seem to know who they are.

I also think this is where a lot of fighting online is coming from. I'm seeing a lot of Plave fans get angry and yell stuff like "This isn't new information! We've always known Eunho is a POS! Why are you just getting mad now?!"

Thats the thing. To outside fans this IS new information. Yes he is just getting called out for it now, no one outside the fandom knew this till today.

I honestly think Plave will be fine and this will blow over. The only issue I am seeing is going to be how they will handle Eunho because I feel like this only reason this hasn't blown over yet is because Eunho's past scandals are being posted everywhere and is keeping this in the spotlight.

I kind of assumed that plave's fanbase skewed very young just by the whole nature of v-tubers which tends to be more forgiving of these things. So I think they'll be fine with their core fanbase but I think this casual fan surge they've been experiencing will calm down. Don't know how I feel about some of these guys being role models for young people though.

Unlike Lim Youngwoong whose recent microcontroversy actually seems to have affected his charting a bit.
