Morning Musume.'21 member Sato Masaki will graduate from the group and Hello! Project after their concert on December 13 at Nippon Budokan.
She had been continuing her activities while battling irritable bowel syndrome, but since the beginning of the year, she had been limiting her performances. Under the guidance of a doctor, Sato had been reviewing her eating habits and taking medicine, which helped with the frequency and strength of her pain. However, she felt that she was still hindering the group's activities, so she informed the staff that it would be difficult for her to continue considering her condition.
After discussion with the staff, she made the resolve to graduate from the group in order to prioritize the improvement of her health. Although she was worried about her condition, she wanted to graduate after performing a Morning Musume concert, so it was decided that she part ways with the group after their one-man live in December. Sato's last single (currently untitled) is also scheduled to be released within the year.
