I've used google music forever and it turned into Youtube music so I guess this doesn't affect me that much. I generally don't use streaming platforms lmao I like to buy albums and I will use youtube to listen watch my favs. I find it interesting tho because this situation basically is the same as when Apple music tried to enter korean market. I'm curious what will happen as Kakao M distribution isn't going to change because spotify is entering market. They have to pay Kakao M for rights so I dont see spotify having sway over korean market, even tho kpop fans might hate it why would Kakao M give the rights to these songs when it is direct competitor to their own charting company melOn. I see no incentive for Kakao M to let them in.
