Sebrena Verlice of Tampa, Florida had a dream. When she was just 14, her mom, a former exotic dancer, gave her some of her old costumes to try on. That’s when the Tampa woman knew she wanted to follow in her Mom’s footsteps and enter into the family business.
6 years later at the age of 20, as told to msn, “She bought a pole, a pair of pleaser heels and two dancer outfits. ” After practicing for two days straight she auditioned at a club in Clearwater, Florida. Her audition became her first night’s work and she took home $300. Now 23, Sabrena works 10-25 hours a week on the pole, on the stage, and in the private rooms making up to $10,000 a night.
Her mom, Sherry, danced in clubs in Pennsylvania in the 90’s, but had to give up her profession 2 years before Sebrena was born due to a car accident. Mom told Sebrena about all her cool adventures as an exotic dancer and when Sebrena got to try on those outfits when she was 14 she knew she was hooked. Sebrena’s salary pays the bills, allowing her to afford a 2 bedroom apartment (!!) and “a fully paid-off Volkswagen Passat.”
