The Boyz Badge Voting Thread 2024 (FINISHED)

Hello!

The Boyz Badges has not been updated in five years (They were created in 2019 and never touched since then ) so I am humbly asking that we please update them this awards season.

Timeline

Because they are a large group I am breaking down everything down into three groups that will each last a week, 4 days for suggestions and 3 days voting.

If 4 days for suggestions feels too short I can extend the timeline as needed!
(Please just let me know!)

Group 1: Group Badge, Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon
Suggestions: July 3rd - 7th (I added an extra day since I'm posting this not early in the day)
Voting: July 8th - 10th

Group 2: Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New (Chanhee)
Suggestions: July 11th - 14th
Voting: July 15th - 17th

Group 3: Q (Changmin), Haknyeon, Sunwoo, Eric
Suggestions: July 18th - 21st
Voting: July 22nd - 24th

*deadlines end at midnight EST*

A round for editing or any extra things that need to be done will start on July 25th!

Regarding Hwall

Shortly after the original TBZ badges were made, Hwall left the group.

He is currently active as an actor and made a solo music debut a few years ago (though I don't believe he is very active?). If anyone would like to make a new Hwall badge during any of the rounds feel free! But when I asked the awards team about him they said that he would now be moved to the actors section of the awards.

GUIDELINES

To quote the Awards Guidelines
○ No fantaken images.
To protect the content creators' rights as well as ourselves, fantaken images are not allowed to be used as badges.
○ Only HQ pictures.
For quality purposes. The higher quality, the better an image will look as a badge.
○No heavily edited images.
The more edited, the worse the quality becomes overall.
○ No extreme contrast, highlighted colors, or super light/dark images.
They just don't look good when sized down.
○ Face should be centered.
For aesthetic purposes.
○ Logos should only be used for groups & are not allowed for individuals (in most cases).
We understand some artists are very difficult to find pictures of and will deal with that on a case by case basis.
○ Only screenshots from Music Videos, CFs and official content are allowed.
If you're unsure what falls under this rule, please don't hesitate to ask on our ask thread.
○ Instagram Pictures.
Selfies are not allowed, however, pictures taken by someone else are allowed (examples of such: here, here, here or here). Still, keep in mind that these have to meet all the other guidelines as well.
○ Profiles can be used, as well as some object coverage is allowed.
Face coverage isn't totally ruled out but the more you can see of the artist the better. Profiles are OK if we can clearly tell who the artist is.
○ Derp faces / Exaggerated facial expressions / Unrecognizable.
These will not be allowed, badges are not to be meme-like or anything that is out of the ordinary/unpleasant, such as: frowning, crying, etc. We will also not be allowing badges that look weird and in which people look unrecognizable - regardless of it being an official picture.
○ Zooms.
Any mocks found to be too zoomed in or zoomed out will need to be readjusted, as all badges must be able to resized down to 74x74 properly. In the event a mock does not pass crop standards, it will need to be readjusted until our quality standards are met.
○ Official submissions.
For transparency, all submissions must be posted in the thread. This means you’re not allowed to include badges in your votings unless they were officially submitted.
○ Final submission.
The Awards team reserve the right to edit/re-do a mock if we feel they are not in accordance to all the aforementioned rules.

The same thing happened in the 2024 txt thread, it turns out this whole time Taehyun never had a badge

As of 2024 supporters are no longer needed as long as there’s 2 keepers, so if we’re both keeping we should be good!

I think having it in this thread will be fine! We’ll just have to submit them as a new award later.

I tried searching the forum and it looks like back in the day a Sangyeon award was submitted to the award approval thread but I have no idea what happened that it’s not in the system. I also can’t find anything on a Haknyeon award ever being submitted

I did some more digging and I found Haknyeon, he just wasn't submitted with everyone else. Also both users who were tagged as keepers no longer seem to exist so that's probably why his badge no longer exists. No idea about Sangyeon though.
