Hmm, I wonder if they mean 'hit song' as in 'song that everyone remembers and enjoys even after a couple of years'. Because that's one reason why I could see them comparing it to Tell Me. The fact that Cheer up also has a nationwide popular dance move and catchy lyric helps too, which I don't think a lot of the other songs mentioned have. Anyway there were only like 42 comments on this so I wonder what other songs there would be if more people had answered.
