Love Live! School Idol Project is a Japanese multimedia project co-developed by ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine, the music label Lantis, and the anime studio Sunrise. Love Live! has released music CD's, anime music videos, live concert videos, a manga adaption, video games, card games, a light novel,information programs,movies,and an anime series sequels and a spinoff. the The project officially began on June 30, 2010 with the release of a prologue story and character introductions and after that It launched in the August 2010 issue of Dengeki G's Magazine.

μ's​

μ's (pronounced "Muse") was a school idol group formed and led by Honoka Kousaka in Love Live!.They were the school idol group of Otonokizaka high school.The group was initially formed with the purpose of bringing attention to the school as it was to be shut down due to a lack of future enrolling students.Their real life parallel, the voice actresses of μ's were also active as a group but ended group activites on April 1, 2016 with with a final live ending their legacy.However, it was announced that the group would be returning with a new single, which was released on March 25th, 2020. With the voice actresses reuniting for a performance at the Love Live fest in 2020.
The group consists of 3 subunits Printemps,BiBi,lily white and 9 members Honoka,Eli,Kotori,Umi,Rin,Maki,Nozomi,Hanayo,Nico.

Aqours​

Aqours (pronounced as "aqua") is a school idol group led by Chika Takami in Love Live! Sunshine!! They were the school idol group of uranohoshi girl's highschool. The group was formed due to the member's admiration of μ's and also to bring attention to their school as it was to be shut down due to a lack of future enrolling students just like μ's school. The voice actresses of Aqours are also active as a group till this day they are still active. Aqours also consists of 9 members Chika,Riko,You,Kanon,Dia,Mari,Hanamaru,Yoshiko,Ruby and 3 Subunits CYaRon,AZALEA,Guilty Kiss
