Probably because a project girl group of eliminated trainees would not even come within reach of the success of a boy group(e.g. JBJ). I mean, the idea is good but looking at how I.B.I heavily underperformed, it's quite clear that they weren't gonn take another risk.

The only way I'd have seen it happening would be if there were some 48g members involved but I don't think AKS would have agreed to it.
