Greetings, Hallyu+ netizens! Get to know independent Korean math rock & post rock band Cotoba! The band was officially formed in 2018, and their band name's comes from Japanese word cotoba (コトバ), which means "word, language." . They made their debut on August 29, 2019, with the EP Form of Tongue. In February 2020, their videos on Naver Onstage gained popularity and they were invited to Glastonbury Festival, but the plans got cancelled due to a quarantine that year. In 2023, they were named the Pentaport Rock Festival Super Rookie. On October 26, 2023, they released a digital single co-isolation as a pre-release for the band's fourth EP Humanoid operational - A short musical record of the living present with "coii" serving as the single's title track.
