The official website for popular anime voice actress Kana Hanazawa (Kuroneko in Oreimo, Ichika Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets) has announced that her new digital single song "magical mode" will be released on March 31, 2021. Her previous 13th single "Daijoubu" was released in July 2018, two years and seven months ago.
"magical mode" is a collaboration song with "ZOZO," the Chinese version of the fashion shopping site ZOZOTOWN. Satoru Kousaki (MONACA), who previously worked on "Renai Circulation" (TV anime Bakemonogatari 10th episode OP song performed by her as Nadeko Sengoku), again served as the composer/producer. It was produced as a pop song that matches the "Kawaii Future Bass" style sound and the lyrics with the message of "spending every day positively." In China, a collaboration movie featuring "magical mode (Chinese Version)" has been already released and viewed over 3 million times on various video streaming sites.
The song was revealed for the first time in the latest episode of Hanazawa's regular web radio program "Hanazawa Kana no Hitori de Dekirukana?" streamed in Japan last night.
Also, it was officially announced that the songs from her previous singles and albums will be available on various music streaming services from March 31, 2021. As a solo singer, she has released 13 singles and five original albums since April 2012.
