She was always in the shadows in AKB48 for 9 years. In Pd48, she had almost no screentime despite gaining fans and votes. Was also evil edited that probably turned the viewers against her. And recently, Mystic cancelled her solo debut. They had filmed the MV and everything was good to go. This poor girl is always in bad luck and it has been very quiet from her lately. :( Even Erii who did not reached the final got an offer from Mnet with UHSN.

Miyu is still faring better than most of the PD48 contestants though. She was still able to gain fans despite being edited out by Mnet, and she's still one of a handful of JP PD48 contestants who managed to cross over to SK to build an actual career there - the only one to pursue a solo career. She doesn't have the benefit of Korean group members to buffer her from public sentiment, so it's understandable that Mystic's taking a very cautious approach. Still, I think her Korean fans know and appreciate her respect for Korean society and culture, and I'm sure are waiting patiently for her to debut.

Miyu wasn't always in the shadows in AKB48 though. She was pushed early on, even making the Senbatsu, but she wasn't able to handle the amount of spotlight back then. Miyu was pretty young, and too shy and awkward. I guess the timing wasn't right for her.

About solo vs girl group:

Miyu prefers to debut in a girl group.

The YJS song is not a solo song, but more like a collaboration between Miyu and YJS.

Minseo was featured in three Monthly YJS songs pre-debut, but she didn't actually have an actual solo debut until much later.

It's unfortunate that all those things happened to her, but I wouldn't worry too much about her now. 😅

Miyu had a listen stage on the 9th and celebrated her 15th anniversary into entertainment business with her fans.
She's also taking acting lessons with the other trainees. She went out shopping with Suhyun too last week.

The song is only postponed, so just wait patiently until the situation has calmed down. :)

Her debut was not cancelled, she had recorded a song with YJS for his monthly release but it was postponed because of the Korea vs Japan situation

I don't see all this bad luck you talk about. Just because she didn't blow up doesn't mean she has bad luck. Popularity is a cruel thing that isn't predictable, but you can't just blame the lack of it to bad luck. I don't see anything that happened to her that could be considered bad luck, that had it not happened she would have made it big. The only bad thing you could say is the timing of this Korea/Japan ordeal, but even then this was predictable ever since Moon Jae In was elected. Maybe you can say it's bad luck she trusted Mystic and when push came to shove they decided to pull an overzealous move that you can argue wasn't needed, but still as I mentioned before the tensions between Korea and Japan were already apparent back then so I can't quite blame it on luck. Maybe poor judgement, but I won't push that narrative too much because you can't say the way the company reacted was entirely predictable.
