In my country:
Basically, December 31th is like a general party day. Since morning, it's normal to see a lot of people on the streets buying the last stuffs for the night (food, clothes, explosives, puppet dolls, etc) and you can hear music coming from different houses.
At night, the more closer to midnight, the more noise you will hear(music, explosives and fireworks)
At midnight (January 1st), people burn the puppet dolls in the middle of the streets with a LOT OF explosives....while making a toast or some rituals (to have good luck, find live, earn more money, travel, etc).
After that, dinner starts, and some families have big parties until next day (because of corona, this changed).
And in the morning, everything is really quite (like in a zombie apocalypse).

What about you?
