I have a dog and she can and will try to knock the bulbs off the tree or just get confused by it in general. The less time the tree is up the less broken glass I have to clean up.

I don't have one atm, but if I did have one, it'd be up year-round!
I have some nice Christmas decorations, so I want to appreciate them all year, rather than only for 2-3 months
