I keep seeing an ad about some guy saying the stuffing is the best? Like, first of all, isn't it dressing if you didn't make it in the turkey? And second of all -- get some help??

So for you who is best, darkhorse/slept on and worst?

My vote is:
Cornbread
Potato Salad
and the worst is that god awful turkey.

Best: mac n cheese
Dark Horse: cranberry sauce ngl
Worst: any casserole (green bean specifically 👀) like there's a time and place for that

and turkey can defo be the worst depending on who cooks it
TTbh I don't understand casserole as a concept :iwillfightyou: it feels like putting a Chinese buffet into a baking pan.

Joke's on you bc more pecan pie for me!
Without the ice cream?? Diabolical!

Never been an ice cream and pie person

Honestly, more than half of my family is vegan. And the rest of the family that we used to do Thanksgiving with has moved away or died. Thanksgiving has gone from my favorite family meal of the year to completely forgettable now. It's been years since I've had a real traditional Thanksgiving:exit:

Honestly, same (about it not being a thing anymore.) Like the faux history attached to Thanksgiving sucks but it is a good holiday. I definitely miss the full meals.

my mom always makes carrot cake for thanksgiving (without raisins or nuts, thankfully), and for me, that is the highlight :poggers:

I’m Polish so for us it was the soup and pierogis :jy:

For my friend’s family, she hated turkey so they had a thanksgiving lasagna (we’re from NJ and tbh a thanksgiving lasagna is somewhat common here).
