Why is this girlgroup not raising in popularity despite releasing top-tier songs?

It's difficult to increase quickly in popularity when the group has been active for several years already. It's a shame though because April has everything you'd want in a girl group.

They would be one of the biggest groups out there if DSP still had their pulling power like they used to.

Blaming it all on them not being Big3 / Big Hit makes no sense, especially since April grew out from the Kara project which selected Youngji as a new Kara member. They debuted in 2015 while Kara was still together, so it's not as if the public was unaware of who they and DSP were.
