Why Younha has been dubbed as the "saving grace" Korea needed

On 24th of June 1978, Soyang Dam recorded one of the lowest recorded water level measuring at a critical 151.93 meters with the Soyang Lake being completely evaporated. North Korea was also affected by extreme drought with the United Nations estimating approximately US$110 million of support would be needed.

Korea needed a sustainable plan to maintain a healthy amount of rainfall without needing to reach out for support from the UN.

On the 29th of April 1988 just under 10 years later, a baby was born in Seoul who went by the name of Go Younha who was destined to bring the rainfall which Korea needed. Armed with a 5G telepathic powers and her ability to summon rain sometimes unintentionally during her performance, the worries of the drought reaching critical stages were washed away.

It began in July, 2008, Younha released her hit single Umbrella which reached 1st on the Gaon Charts for the first time. Coincidentally July had the highest rainfall in July 2008.

The trend continues with another song Rain Shower in 2012 also released in July (?) which had the 2nd highest rainfall that year.

Younha continues to showcase her dedication to mother nature by providing such a precious resource to our lives sometimes doing tours and providing rainfall to such dry areas in other countries.

The more rain themed songs she releases, the more rainfall we will expect. While numbers may not always be accurate, at the age of only 32, Younha has ample time to regulate her powers at the right time.
