I think it’s because some seeds have more advantage. Like you get to play less games. Your first game is your opponent’s 4th or smth. Sure there are breaks in between but you’re still 100% while the other isn’t.

I know Roger is better on grass and has won much more than Rafa at Wimbledon. I guess after all these years following tennis I never questioned how the seeding charts are made. I was under the impression only the ATP ranking was considered for it. I guess it makes sense somehow that previous history at that tournament matters.

I hope Thiem's performance stays consistent, many players at one point looked that they're going to be the next big thing but then their performances get paled slowly in comparison to Rafa-Novak-Federer, they're still up in ranking i won't say names but they lost their glory effect in front of these three
