X bans woman's account citing "self harm" after she tried eating 184 boxes of pocky for Pocky day

i missed this while it was happening and unfortunately the account and tweets aren't there anymore, in Japan there is a いいねの数だけポッキー食べる day basically you tell people you are going to be doing that and the number of likes you get is the number of pocky you have to eat and later have to post proof

some girl (not an idol or actress etc) become know for being active during that day, 2 years ago she ate 350 pockies, past year 1,300 pockies and this year was using pictures of those previous days to set a goal the tweet ended getting 19,000 likes

she was actually planning to eat 19,000 pockies

and because she was serious about it was reported for self harm, her account suspended and tweets related to that deleted

so she had to cancel her participation, apologized to supporters and is now stuck with almost 200 boxes of pocky although promised to come back for 2025's pocky day

Yeah, people can say and post anything they want there without consequences. There are constantly far-right tweets being shoved into your timeline even if you do not consume this type of content.
Recently i returned to X just to keep up with Arcane posts and dear lord...i forgot how garbage that place actually is
